It's feature-butter jelly time!
Hello out there, artists.
I'm a bit early this month, and as usual, if I forget to feature anyone - I love all your art, or I wouldn't favourise it in any case - please don't hate me. If I could post all your masterpieces here, I would, but I lack time.
This month, I was really taken by Lord of the Flies (English Major) and The Hobbit (amazing movie, love it love it love it!)
1) Nick Furry and the Animalvengers
I especially love Nick Furry, the Black Cat, of course. But all of the animals are great, very neatly drawn and cool expressions. Sweet work!
2) Laketown - The Hobbit
Incredible atmosphere, dark, yet not intimidating, somewhat calming the viewer down. I just love it...
3) Galadriel and Celeborn
There's a lot of sweetness in this picture, and love. I think Celeborn was quite neglected by author and cinema, or in general, so it's nice to see that he actually exists. And I love Galadriel, so seeing her happy is good.
4) Pencil Hobbit
I have always loved the Hobbit, and pencil drawings. So naturally this is perfect. I also love how you can see the hand, as if in the process of drawing. Very good expressions and the characters totally look like themselves - something I never succeed in.
5) Soft Fairy
I love this kind of watch (or rather a clock, isn't it? A clock-watch?) and it always reminds me of a certain white rabbit and a certain girl called Alice... This picture is very dreamy, harmless, soft (as the title suggests). A harmonic little forest picture.
6) You are Free
The colours. The atmosphere. Nighttime. The message. Just wow... What more can I say? Why isn't this a DD yet?
7) River Sunrise
I think I'll use this as my desktop background (if I may), because the colours always give you a good feeling. It's like the sun finally rises after days of night, and the ice on top of the mountains just melts away. Very pretty.
8) Secrets from Elsewhere
If you love trees, forests and pink, what can you do wrong with this wonderful piece? It calms me down and takes all bad thoughts away, and that's - in my opinion - what art should do.
Amazing colour-work. Red and white go well together in this picture, and the lights are nice. Just sweet.
10) One of a Million
Just like every person is unique, so is every snowflake. And this one is especially beautiful, amazing perspective, how do you do pictures like that? I'm really envious, but then again, I'm happy to have this. Thank you for your art.
11) Lord of the Flies
We read it in English Major - thanks for the A in my certificate, dear - and the novel got me after reading it twice and haunts me forever now. The movie (black and white version, not the trashy new one) is awesome, too. I especially like Simon (</3), Piggy (sometimes) and Jack (I know, that doesn't fit together). I didn't like Ralph, he's like a wolf pretending to be a sheep, at least Jack is honest about his personality.
I'll be back next month, then.
See you all!
